Are You Making This Common Home Décor Mistake?
Ask any interior designer what one of the most common mistakes they see immediately upon entering a client's home is and most will tell you it has to do with artwork. No, it's not that they prefer one artist over another, instead, it has more to do with size and placement.
Often times you are choosing the incorrect size artwork or making due with something that you've previously had instead of finding something that fits your space or furniture better.
Another very common problem is the height you hang your artwork. When hanging artwork above or around a furniture item such as a sofa, buffet, seating area, or even on your mantle, the goal is to create a design correlation between the the artwork and the piece of furniture. That means if you are not hanging your artwork at the correct distance, you could be creating a visual disconnect.
