The sun is out which means it's officially time for Spring Cleaning! Now don’t get me wrong, cleaning is not my favorite thing to do but I have always been organized and I like my house clean and decluttered. With the warmer days, I get the urge to do some deep cleaning in my house that I have avoided all winter. One of the things I was having issues with was the grout on my tile floors, even though I scrub my floors every week, they still looked stained. So I tried a homemade solution on them and I was amazed how good they turned out! It was a little messy and since I have a lot of tile, it took a little time, but it was definitely worth it. I think you can tell by the pictures how great it turned out!
Here is the homemade solution and the instructions. Try it in your house and post your pictures below to show the results!
Tile Grout Cleaner
7 cups water
½c baking soda
1/3 c lemon juice
Mix this up and place in a spray bottle.
Generously spray the grout, let sit 7 to 8 minutes and scrub with brush. Wipe down area with clean water.
When cleaning my floors, I cleaned the tile as well as the grout, so I did it in small sections at a time. This kept me from having to kneel on the already sprayed sections.
Good luck and Happy Spring!
